DB (France) 1938 - 1961
Charles Deutsch and Rene Bonnet started with a Citroën-engined racing car
before the war.
After the war they made a few more racing cars with Citroën engines but
quickly turned to Panhard-engined `Racer 500s', following those successful
cars with a larger version, the `Monomille' 750cc, built in sufficient
numbers to justify their own junior formula in France.
They also made some
Panhard-engined sports-touring cars with glass-fibre bodies and engines from
850cc to 1300cc. After the end of their association in 1961 the two men
made cars under two different names, CD and René Bonnet.
